Little Ditty About Jack & Diane ...
Back in 1976 “Jack & Diane” packed up everything they owned, jumped in a van, and left Boston to find the perfect ski area to live in. After visiting every ski area between the east and west coasts there was no doubt that the Yampa Valley and Steamboat was where they wanted to live. They have two sons who were born here and grew up here. Matt is starting his first year as a librarian at Edison, a magnet school in Denver, CO after being an assistant principal at an elementary school for 8 years. Ben is the Senior Director for Development for Rails to Trails and has worked for this non-profit for 13 years and lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Both sons were married in the summer of 2008 and “Jack & Diane” are the very proud grandparents of Colin, Peyton and Quincy, who live in Denver and grandsons, Liam and Sam, who live in Portsmouth.
Jack has been very successful in the real estate business since 1978 and fully enjoys helping people find that special property. In 2015 “Jack & Diane” received the “Circle of Excellence” award from Sotheby’s International Realty. In 2016 “Jack & Diane” received the Sotheby’s “Outstanding Service” award and the “Circle of Excellence” award too. And this past year (2017) “Jack & Diane received “Circle of Excellence” award again. Jack is known for his low-pressure approach and helping customers feel comfortable when buying their most important and expensive investment in their lives. Jack’s familiarity and knowledge of the Steamboat area is invaluable when listing that property to sell at the best possible price for the seller. Diane joined Jack in real estate after owning and running Kinderhaus Family Center (an early learning center serving 60 children per day) in Steamboat Springs for 15 years. She passed her Broker’s Exam in 2004.
“Jack and Diane” enjoy all the things that first brought them here from Boston especially golfing, running, skiing, hiking, and climbing the Colorado Fourteeners. They have never lost their Boston accent so when you call our office and you think you’re talking to a character from the sitcom, “Cheers”, you are unquestionably speaking with “Jack or Diane”!
